SquareMeal Review of Andina Picanteria

Peruvian chef Martin Morales has expanded his empire with this new Notting Hill restaurant, located next door to his debut bakery, Andina Panaderia. The intimate space fits around 40 diners and is an ode to Peru’s family-run roadside restaurants. The restaurant features an open kitchen and a chef’s table, with design accents including green and cherry velvet banquettes, and rustic oak tables. Expect small plates including ceviche made with yellowfin tuna, trout roe and popped kiwicha, and a purple corn tamale with choclo corn succotash and sweet kale pesto. Larger dishes meanwhile include Andean-style stew with broad beans and roast pumpkin, while feasting dishes designed to share see the likes of 80-day aged Hereford sirloin with red pepper.
