If you’ve got cause for celebration, or just want to woo your partner, think about booking a private dining experience. Forget mediocre food and chain restaurants, and say hello to Vatavaren – a Pan-Asian fine dining restaurant in the heart of London’s prestigious Knightsbridge district. The menu focuses on exciting bold flavours, which, when paired with the restaurant’s inviting and stylish setting, and top-notch service, ensures a pretty memorable affair.
In the intimate maisonette space you'll find the private dining floor, which can accommodate up to 50 of your guests. The walls reflect the beautiful Indian mountains, with jewelled tones and rich tapestries. When you book your private dining experience, the team will work with you to create a bespoke menu that reflects your upcoming event with each dish charred to perfection over an open flame.
There are two tasting menus to choose from – the signature Brook and the vegetarian Meadow. The Brook begins with maach bhaat made with tamarind, sea bass, kohlrabi and arborio, followed by wild prawns in wild mustard, with honey, chickpeas and curry leaf. Next, it's a succulent piece of lamb barbat cooked in burnt spices and garlic. The last savoury course is the popular butter chicken, cooked up with vine tomatoes, kashmiri chilli and yoghurt, and served with kaali dal, steamed rice and breads. The penultimate course is raspberry phirni with clarified butter and sorbet to cleanse the palette, followed by the final dish of pineapple and coconut jaggery with chutney.
The restaurant also offers nut, dairy and gluten free menus, with an extensive list of delicious dishes to choose from. We love this inclusive approach to Pan-Asian dining, and can see why many people would choose to host their event at Vatavaran.
