Spread across three floors, this German pub in Farringdon might appear super-sleek on the outside, but as soon as you step through the doors, you’ll find the mountain ski chalet vibe instantly welcoming. Featuring rustic timber chalet-style décor, a roaring fire in winter, cosy corners complete with sheepskin throws, a vast collection of quirky skiing memorabilia, and a full-size 1950s cable car cabin that seats six, The White Haus promises comfort, warmth and conviviality for all who drink and dine here.
If you’re looking to channel these Bavarian vibes into a private event, you’ll be pleased to learn that The White Haus boasts three private dining rooms for hire: The Pery Room, The Private Dining Room, and The Balcony. The Pery Room is located on the lower ground floor and features a private bar with dedicated waiter/bartender and a retro ski lift photo booth that’s sure to provide plenty of fun for your guests. Adjacent is The Private Dining Room, which is best-suited to meetings, private screenings and dinner parties for up to 18 people. If a larger space is needed, these two rooms can be combined, simply by opening the sliding French doors that separate them. If it’s a less formal event you have in mind, The Balcony is ideal. This private chalet-style space seats 40 guests on small sofas and is perfect for a networking event or product launch.
When it comes to provisions, you can be sure your guests will be well catered for, as The White Haus takes feasting seriously. Bavarian-style canapes, including the likes of smoked ham hock and taleggio croquettes, and pretzels with horseradish and crème fraiche make for a nice welcome snack before a set meal or buffet. There are also plenty of aged and batched premium cocktails, a huge array of spirits, draught beers and ciders, and a wine list that includes vegan-friendly labels.
The staff at The White Haus couldn’t be friendlier, so if you have a special request – whether it’s regarding décor, food or drink, they’re all ears.
