The Arding Rooms is Clapham’s first private members club, located on the first floor of the iconic former Arding & Hobbs department store. Just a stone's throw from Clapham Junction, this elegant venue also doubles as a stunning private dining venue for groups of up to 100.
Though The Arding Rooms is usually accessible for private members only, there is another way to enjoy a meal inside this impressive venue - by hiring one of the private spaces inside privately for your next dinner or drinks party. Inside you’ll find a restaurant, bar and rooftop terrace, as well as meeting rooms and co-working area for members. Although the space has been designed with modern comforts in mind, there’s still lots of the building’s original Edwardian architecture on display too, making this one of the more unique private event venues in the area.
The signature space for private hire is the main event space. This often functions as The Arding Rooms restaurant, but it can also be your private restaurant for the evening, with capacity for up to 100 guests. Catering is all handled on-site - the menu features a variety of seasonal modern European dishes, ranging from baked figs wrapped in prosciutto and balsamic, to baked artichoke with tarragon, Aleppo pepper and Parmesan dip, and grilled day boat fish with preserved lemon and pistachio salsa verde. Flexible catering options are available for all times of day, from breakfast bites to healthy salads and bowl food for more informal occasions.
The Arding Rooms also boasts an experienced mixology team, which oversees an impressive cocktail list of classics and house mixes, like the Sun-Pressed (vodka, Aperol, pineapple, passion fruit and lime).
