Botanica Hall lies somewhere between a classically London pub and a stylish restaurant, spanning a buzzy dining room, atmospheric booth seating and an open kitchen with coal-fired oven, in the mix of Clapham Junction. If you're looking for somewhere to bring people together in South London, it's a great option for large groups and bigger-than-your-average celebrations.
First up, the location is ideal, just a few moments from Clapham Junction station, bringing in people from all over London and beyond. The space itself is beautifully designed with chic details like cafe curtains, rich green tiling, exposed pipework and jewel-toned banquettes. Easily mixing industrial elements with design-led aesthetics and a heritage building brimming with period features, it's quite the backdrop.
Botanica Hall makes sense for hosting thanks to its variety of spaces. In terms of capacity, taking over the entire venue means 220 people can be seated for dinner, while 450 can be accomodated for standing events. For smaller get-togethers, there's also the The Olive Tree, a semi-private space showcasing large artworks with capacity for 40 people seated or 100 standing. While The Snug is ideal for intimate affairs, from brand events to important meetings, with capacity for 30 people seated or 50 people standing.
Especially for slightly smaller gatherings, you could speak to the team about adding a cocktail masterclass to your booking, to add an interactive element to the evening. Classes generally last about 90 minutes, include a welcome drink and two cocktail recipes, as well as a fun competition to get everyone trying the best. Finally, a few ending shops from the bar tender don't hurt the party mood, either!
As for food, all catering is provided by Botanica Hall. There isn't a set private dining menu but you can work with the team on creating a line-up of dishes that work for your group - there's plenty to choose from.
