The Arding Rooms is Clapham’s first private members club, taking up residence in the first floor of Clapham’s old Arding & Hobbs department store building. Also functioning as a gorgeous private event space, you’ll find The Arding Rooms just a short distance from Clapham Junction.
Facilities for members include a restaurant, bar, co-working spaces and a stunning roof terrace, but private hire is also available even if you’re not a member. Inside the site has been faithfully renovated, preserving the Edwardian architecture of the original building. That’s most obviously visible in the beautiful, stained glass domed atrium that sits over the top of the bar and co-working space, but the whole space exudes a sophisticated, old-school charm that suits all occasions.
The largest space for hire at The Arding Rooms is the main event space, which often functions as the club’s dining room. Another stained glass skylight dominates the coffered ceiling overhead, allowing plenty of natural light to stream into the room and over the natural parquet wood floors. The room is highly flexible and can be set up for dinners, drinks parties, seminars and conferences, and lots more besides. The space has capacity for up to 100 guests, and can be configured in an array of different seating arrangements.
Meeting rooms are also available to hire for smaller groups. These furnished spaces come with cutting edge AV tech to support all your hybrid working needs, as well as breakout spaces and lots of natural light. With space for up to 52 guests, these rooms are ideal for company meetings, as well as more relaxed team activity days and offsites.
The Arding Rooms also handles catering in-house, offering food and drink on request for private event hire. The menu covers breakfast, lunch and dinner options, from snacks to full private dinners.
