Salisbury is a medieval, cathedral city in Wiltshire. People visiting Salisbury usually take a day trip to Stonehenge, an iconic Neolithic stone circle. Stonehenge isn't the only historical marvel that Salisbury has to its name, though, with the ornate 13th century cathedral retaining an original copy of the Magna Carter from 1215. Salisbury's old city centre has plenty of beautiful architecture to admire, and as you cross Poultry Cross, the gorgeous market area, you'll notice plenty of it that has stood firmly since the medieval era. To this day, you can still visit the market, tracing back to the 1300s.
