About Private Dining at Fortnum and Mason

Description

For more than three centuries, Fortnum & Mason has been at the heart of London’s most memorable celebrations. From royal feasts to intimate gatherings, its dedication to extraordinary food, impeccable service, and a touch of theatrical flair has made it one of the city’s most iconic hosts. Today, that tradition continues with 11 spectacular private dining spaces across its historic Piccadilly home and The Royal Exchange, offering everything from intimate dinners for four to lavish receptions for 400.

For those who love a bit of culinary spectacle, the Food and Drink Studio on the third floor provides an open-plan kitchen, adding a sense of theatre to private dinners, drinks receptions, and breakfast meetings with a capacity of 18 to 24 people seated, and 45 standing. For larger gatherings, it can be paired with The Library, creating a stunning space for up to 100 standing guests - ideal for cocktail and canapé receptions with a touch of Fortnum’s magic.

Meanwhile, the Diamond Jubilee Tea Salon, first opened by HM The Queen, is the grandest of them all, available for exclusive hire on weekdays, seating 170 guests or welcoming up to 350 standing. More intimate but equally refined, The Drawing Room offers a backdrop of hand-painted silk wallpaper, making it perfect for everything from afternoon teas to wedding ceremonies of up tp 60 people seated, 80 people standing and 50 for a ceremony.

For a more discreet setting, The Boardroom on the fifth floor is adorned with antique furniture and fine artwork, creating an elegant atmosphere for lunch, afternoon tea, or dinner for 24 people seated. And for smaller occasions, The Tasting Room provides a quiet escape for up to 14 seated guests, ideal for breakfast meetings, private lunches, or intimate celebrations.

Hidden below the bustling Food Halls, The Crypt is one of Fortnum’s best-kept secrets - a candlelit treasure trove designed for wine tastings and convivial dinners for12 seated or 16 standing. Meanwhile, The Wine Bar offers a low-lit, effortlessly chic space, perfect for drinks and canapé receptions for up to 100 standing guests.

Whatever the occasion, Fortnum & Mason’s dedicated events team ensures that every detail is carefully curated - from bespoke menus featuring seasonal dishes and world-class wines to seamless service that guarantees an unforgettable experience. Whether it’s a wedding, an intimate dinner, or an extravagant celebration, private dining at Fortnum’s is always an event to remember.
