Penelope’s is a Spanish-Israeli fusion restaurant in Covent Garden from the AMANO group, and an excellent destination for all your private dining needs, from intimate dinners with friends and family to corporate events and private celebrations.
The private dining room is a stylish space, complete with soft lighting, unique art on the walls and comfortable seating. This space boasts an ambience of effortless luxury, seamlessly blending classic décor with contemporary highlights which are sure to impress your guests. Up to 18 guests can be seated at the long marble table, or 22 standing if you’d prefer a relaxed drinks reception with some light bites. Benefit from dedicated service throughout the evening, total privacy and a truly special meal.
Focused around small plates designed for sharing, the menu is a journey between Tel Aviv and southern Spain, where the co-founder of the AMANO group split his time growing up. Examples of sharing plates include an Israeli mezze of taboon bread, green harissa, whipped cod’s roe, tomato salsa and spicy yoghurt, crab bourekas with crispy filo, lemon aioli and caper leaves and tuna ceviche with mango, ajo blanco and seaweed. If you’d prefer something a bit heartier, opt for one of the large plates which are guaranteed to pack a punch. Dig into some pork belly with nduja, endive and fennel, the signature Israeli-style paella with octopus or artichoke, and vegetarians are sure to enjoy the burnt celeriac with shimeji mushroom, truffle and manchego.
There are also larger sharing plates for multiple people such as a whole short rib with fermented hot sauce and laffa bread. To finish, try the fusion baklava cheesecake with pistachio and honey syrup or the crema Catalan with cardamom, white chocolate mousse and summer strawberries. Wash all this down with a bottle from the specialist wine selection, which features new and old-world vineyards alongside a select few vintages.
