About

Morston Hall offers one of Norfolk’s most thoughtful and atmospheric settings for private dining. Set along the quiet North Norfolk coast, this historic 17th-century manor blends intimacy with culinary pedigree, shaped by more than 27 consecutive years of Michelin-starred excellence under the leadership of Galton Blackiston.

What makes Morston Hall exceptional as a private dining venue is its scale: small enough to feel personal, polished enough to elevate any gathering. With spaces ranging from the Study (seating up to 10) and the light-filled Sun Room (for up to 16), to the Conservatory (suited to groups of up to 40), each room offers its own character - stylish, calm, and beautifully connected to the surrounding landscape. Whether hosting a milestone birthday, an anniversary lunch, or a discreet corporate dinner, the setting immediately puts guests at ease.

Food lies at the heart of every private event here. Galton’s culinary philosophy, simplicity, seasonality, and an unwavering respect for Norfolk’s produce, shapes menus that feel rooted in place. Much of what appears on the plate begins just steps away in the kitchen garden, where head gardener Robin collaborates closely with the chefs to grow heritage tomatoes, courgette flowers, soft herbs, figs, edible blooms, baby beets and more. This garden-to-table approach brings an immediacy to the dining experience: flavours are fresher, textures more vibrant, and the storytelling more personal.

Menus for private events are entirely bespoke, whether you’re envisioning an elegant canapé reception, a multi-course tasting menu, or a laid-back luncheon inspired by the garden. Expect Norfolk mussels, Blakeney lobster, local game and a daily-changing cast of fruits, herbs and vegetables from the garden - all treated with quiet precision. Wine pairings and dietary requirements are handled with the same care, ensuring each guest feels looked after.

What truly sets Morston Hall apart is the warmth behind the polish. Service is attentive but discreet, spaces feel homely yet refined, and the pace of the evening unfolds naturally. It’s a place where meaningful moments, anniversaries, milestone celebrations, intimate dinners, are transformed into memories, shaped by exceptional food and the serene rhythm of the Norfolk coast.
