All Saints Resort, set just outside Bury St Edmunds, lends itself naturally to private dining, with countryside views, plenty of space, and enough distance from town to feel like a proper occasion, while still being only a couple of miles from the centre. Whether you're local or coming from further afield, it's the perfect place to getaway whether for the evening or a whole weekend, where you can enjoy all the facilities.
For events, the resort offers four separate spaces, with options to host anything from smaller, more personal dinners through to larger evening receptions of up to 250 guests. Their approach is deliberately adaptable - formal or informal, intimate or expansive - with an experienced events team on hand to shape each booking around the occasion, whether that’s a milestone birthday, anniversary or Christmas party.
The main dining room at The View Bar and Restaurant works for just about anything with contemporary interiors and windows running along each side to make the most of the surrounding golf course, filling the room with light. For group bookings, the Portrait room provides a dedicated space suited to celebrations such as baby showers or hen parties, and can also be used for private afternoon tea experiences.
With nature's bountiful lardour all around, food is a strong reason to book your special occasion here. Catering is handled in house and the kitchen focuses on seasonal produce sourced from across East Anglia, giving you a taste of the locality. Starters might include a pork and hazelnut terrine served with soda bread, fruit chutney and pickles, or baked beer cheese paired with focaccia. Mains cover both lighter and more substantial options, from potato gnocchi with Jerusalem artichoke, shiitake mushroom and pickled walnut, to breaded crispy plaice with triple-cooked chips, mushy peas and tartare sauce.
For afters, coffees and desserts are a must and we like the sound of the sticky toffee pudding - a total classic - served with toffee sauce and vanilla ice cream to amp up the indulgence. Your guests are also bound to love the chocolate mousse, given a zing with orange marmalade and sorbet.
