Located just outside Bristol in Somerset, the venue combines countryside surroundings with eclectic interiors, sociable menus and a variety of spaces that can be tailored around different styles of private dining.
The interiors throughout Mad Swans feel vibrant, eclectic and full of personality, with Mediterranean-inspired shades of blue, olive green and terracotta running across the different spaces. Industrial-style lighting and terracotta pots filled with herbs help create a warm and sociable atmosphere that feels warm and inviting. The venue is also dog friendly and has a dedicated children’s menu.
Guests can choose from several distinct rooms depending on the atmosphere and size of the event. The Carousel is a more intimate, meeting-style private dining room accommodating up to 32 guests, making it ideal for smaller celebrations and presentations. The Room With A View provides a smaller private dining setting with bold striped decor and panoramic countryside views, while The Farmhouse offers a much larger vaulted barn-style space suited to bigger celebrations, wedding events and larger group gatherings. The Potting Shed restaurant can also be hired in its entirety.
Private dining menus can be adapted for breakfasts, lunches, evening dinners, drinks receptions and more casual grazing-style events. Guests can opt for canapes, cocktails and sharing plates or choose more formal multi-course dining experiences.
The kitchen focuses on elevated comfort food made using seasonal produce sourced from local suppliers wherever possible. Menus feature dishes such as crispy Cornish squid, burrata with honey roast figs, lobster macaroni cheese and dry-aged rib of beef. For more relaxed gatherings, the Hangout menu offers pizzas, salads, cocktails and lighter plates, including the Wilderness pizza with wild mushrooms, thyme and creme fraiche.
