This Grade I listed heritage site is home to thousands of rare and protected plans and has been operating since 1673, making it a truly iconic London institution. Just a stone's throw from the Thames and a short walk from Sloane Square, the garden is also excellently located wherever you and your guests may be travelling from.

The main private dining room at Chelsea Physic Garden is the Gallery. Originally a lecture room, this is a sophisticated space flooded with natural light and featuring high ceilings, botanical art and views overlooking the manicured gardens - an elegant setting for your private meal. The space is complete with AV facilities including a projector, microphone and speakers, ideal for both corporate and private occasions. Up to 32 guests can be seated here cabaret style, or if you prefer to sit on one table, up to 28 guests can be accommodated.

Larger parties might be interested in exclusive hire, which includes access to all indoor and outdoor areas including the stunning main lawn. Guests are free to explore the grounds with exclusive use, be it a pre- or post-dinner stroll. Choose this option for private dinners of up to 200 guests.

For the meal itself, Chelsea Physic Garden offers excellent in-house catering services who can provide quality food made with only the finest seasonal produce. Equally, if you have something specific in mind, the events team will be happy to supply a list of over 15 trusted catering suppliers. Many of these are award winning and specialise in everything from world cuisine to fine dining to relaxed sharing meals, so you're guaranteed to find the perfect fit.

Built originally as a lecture theatre dedicated to the instruction of plant science, the Gallery is an elegant, well-lit indoor space with high ceilings and a south-facing outlook of our Garden. As a blank canvas space, the room offers a considerable degree of versatility, adaptable to suit any variety of boardroom, classroom, private dining, and away-day layouts. AV, including laptop, projector, microphone and speakers are built-in, and admission to all your guests, within our usual visitor opening hours, is also provided at no additional cost. The Gallery also currently exhibits the botanical paintings of the Garden’s resident artist, as well as other members of the Florilegium Society. Our expert in-house Café team, Company of Cooks, can provide a catering service to your specifications. Ranging from tea & coffee, working lunches, drinks & canapes, or premium three course dinners, our food & drink offering is inspired by the the Garden’s 350 year old living collection of herbs and plants, and crafted sustainably on-site from fresh and local produce.
