Located in St James’s in the heart of the west end, Avenue's private dining room is an American-inspired setting designed in the style of a Manhattan apartment. It's sure to provide any event held here with an effortlessly cool vibe, perfect for occasions that span birthday parties to private lunches. The décor offers a contemporary yet grand feel, with high ceilings, golden wooden floors and an antique rectangular table in the centre that can seat between 8-18 guests. You’ll also find an architectural light installation hanging above the tables, as well as a floor-to-ceiling plaster cast of a bookcase to bring the New York apartment loft feel to life.
If you’re looking to host a slightly larger private event, the entire restaurant and bar are available to book exclusively for up to 130 seated or 300 standing, which you might want to consider doing for weddings, parties, engagement drinks and wine tastings. The main dining area can be hired for breakfast, lunch, dinner or drinks receptions. The interiors have been designed by Russell Stage Studios who’s style is synonymous with old-school glamour – the perfect setting to host a spectacular evening.
Avenue is most of all a modern British brasserie, so you can expect the menu to feature many familiar favourites. There is a selection of three-course menus available when you book the private dining room, or you can create your own bespoke option if you like. Dishes might include Brixham crab salad with melba toast and lemon to start, confit pork belly with cabbage, pancetta, apple sauce and red wine jus for main course and a chocolate fondant with vanilla ice cream to finish. You can also opt for a menu that includes a glass of Nyetimber Classic Cuvee, while the wine list includes a selection of mostly European options.
