New East-End local Verden has been making waves since its launch - and chef Tom Bell has been busy not just feeding daily customers but also creating special one-off dinners themed around ingredients such as seafood and game. His next offering is a tasting menu, with each course matched to craft beers from nearby specialist Clapton Craft.
Dishes will not be your average tasting menu fare: there’s a beer-laced Clapton rarebit, soft-boiled duck’s egg with local smoked trout, hearty ibérico pork cheeks with white beans and padrón peppers, and a ‘spaghetti western’ panna cotta - all matched with premium beers.
