Treat your taste buds at Hakkasan


Hakkasan, the smoking-hot stalwart of the glitzy London restaurant scene, is hosting a three-hour taste sensation in conjunction with Grey Goose vodka’s Taste by Appointment sessions.

Guests will enjoy – and mix – a variety of Grey Goose cocktails, and will learn about this most intriguing of the senses through innovative experiments.

The tasting session will include:

  • a cocktail-and-canapé reception: sip on Grey Goose Le Fizz (Grey Goose vodka, elderflower cordial, lime juice and soda water) and nibbles from the restaurant’s head chef, Tong Chee Hwee, who has been with Hakkasan since it launched.
  • an introduction to taste: learn about the history of our tastebuds and the people who shaped them.
  • tantalising taste experiments: the team will demonstrate how our senses are inter-related, each affecting our perception of flavour in a different way.
  • hands-on cocktail masterclass: Hakkasan’s bar team will work with Grey Goose’s expert mixologists to teach the basics of cocktail creation. Then it’s your turn: use the Grey Goose ‘taste trolleys’ to mix flavours and come up with something to suit your taste.
  • one-to-one cocktail consultation: the experts will work with guests to create their perfect cocktail recipe.

Enjoy an optional three-course lunch at Hakkasan before the event for an extra £29 per person (excluding drinks and service).

The event will take place on Sunday 1 July from 3-6pm. Tickets cost £75 (excluding lunch), with 25% of the ticket price donated to the Elton John Aids Foundation.
