On Thursday 5 December, City gem Barcelona Tapas Bar y Restaurante will host a wine-tasting evening.
Barcelona Tapas Bar’s chefs have prepared a selection of tempting tapas to complement the wines being sampled during the evening. Guests can tuck into all sorts of bite-sized nibbles, from a
selection of charcuterie with toasted Catalan bread rubbed with tomato, garlic and extra virgin olive oil, grilled black pudding with spicy Rioja pepper foam, Ibérico pigs' cheeks and beef
carpaccio with goats' milk cheese.
To accompany these delicious nibbles, guests can sample wines, which will illustrate the complexity and versatility of Spanish wine styles and grape varieties. A zippy blend of Verdejo and
Sauvignon Blanc will be offer as well as a deep, cherry-coloured Tempranillo, with an elegant nose and intense notes of mature fruits and toast.
To round off the experience, enjoy a generous taste of Spanish liqueur crema catalana, which has a sweet and mild flavour. The liqueur is made with milk, eggs, sugar and flavoured with cinnamon,
lemon, vanilla and caramel.
The event will take place on Thursday 5 December at 7pm. To book tickets, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 0845 4900 512. Tickets cost £49. Square Meal readers can enjoy 20% off
the ticket price by quoting SQUARE MEAL FESTIVE DINNER upon booking.
