Over the years, Aaron Patterson – head chef at Hambleton Hall, in Leicestershire – has trained many, many chefs who have gone on to head up successful and prestigious restaurants in their own right. On 16 March, as part of a protégés’ dinner, he’s welcoming four of them back to his kitchen to show his diners what they can do.
The returning chefs include: Gareth Ward, who went on to become head chef at Ynyshir Hall hotel in Powys and win a Michelin star for the restaurant; Chris Denney, who graduated to the three-star Italian restaurant Piazza Duomo after leaving Hambleton Hall; Adam Stokes, who has his own eponymous Birmingham restaurant; and Ryan Swift, who spent two years as Hambleton Hall’s pastry chef, and who now cooks at Cotswolds bolthole Dormy House. Each course will be paired with a matching wine, chosen by Hambleton’s sommelier Dominique Baduel.
This event takes place on 16 March from 7.30pm; tickets cost £100. To book your place, email firstname.lastname@example.org. Please note that the dress code is smart, with dinner jackets required for gentlemen.
