‘Not Your Average Curry Night’ is definitely a Goa
The enticingly tropical flavours of Goa will be explored in the latest of a series of dinners held at Michelin-starred
Trishna in Marylebone village. ‘Not Your Average Curry Night’ is a collection of evenings hosted by Sunaina Sethi, wine buyer at JKS restaurants – which owns Trishna as well as hot-ticket subcontinental duo Gymkhana and Hoppers. Throughout the series, guests will be treated to a five-course meal of Indian regional food and accompanying wines. On 10 May, Sethi will present ‘The Taste of Goa’ featuring a specialist menu showcasing the dishes of south-west India.
The meal looks set to be a meat feast, kicking off with panjim bombil (Bombay duck, kokum and cashew nut), then continuing with a Margao beef roast, followed by pork belly vindaloo. The evening will finish with the classic Goan dessert of bebinca (layered sweet pancake) served with green apple cider sorbet.
The event starts at 6.45pm. Tickets cost £120 per person for parties of up to 25 and can be booked through
