As part of its dedication to the sentiment of its namesake, Stevie Parle’s Craft London, in Greenwich, is hosting two events to coincide with London’s Urban Village Fete.
The first event, a Forager’s Feast, will see diners sit down together to enjoy a one-off, four-course menu of foraged food harvested by host ‘Anton the Forager’ and his team. The menu will include dishes such as seaweed with wild herbs, crispy pig’s ear and a slow-cooked egg, and hot-smoked trout with pea leaves and charcoal emulsion. Tickets cost £40 for four courses and a glass of mead.
The second event is an introductory course to smoking techniques, led by expert Chris Box, the restaurant’s smoker-in-chief. You’ll learn how to hot-smoke mackerel and herring, and be introduced to cold-smoking techniques. It’s a hands-on course and you get to take home everything you don’t eat there and then...
Both events take place on Sunday 15 May. The Forager’s Feast costs £40 and will be available at two sittings (12pm and 7pm). The smoking course costs £15 and takes place from 12pm-2pm. Call 020 8465 5910 to book your place.
