Covent Garden’s Jar Kitchen is all about provenance - and this summer and autumn it will celebrate five of its favourite suppliers with a series of supperclubs called ‘LAND. AIR. FIRE. EARTH. SEA.’ Each supperclub will be co-hosted by the supplier, and will feature a three-course themed menu centred around British produce, with matching wines.
On 6 June, ‘Land’ will celebrate award-winning butchers, Walter Rose & Son, with a porky feast. On 4 July, for ‘Fire’ the spotlight will turn to smoked and barbecued meats from favoured suppliers, Cabrito. On 1 August, ‘Earth’ will put Mash Purveyors in the limelight, who supply vegetables to the restaurant. On 5 September, ‘Air’ will focus on Clarence Court’s wonderful game and poultry. And on 3 October, ‘Sea’ will pay homage to seafood from supplier Capital Seafood.
