On Tuesday 24 and Wednesday 25 March, Square Meal readers are invited to get into the fiesta spirit with a celebration of Mexican culture at Borough's Roxy Bar & Screen – from film and music to food and drink.
The two Cine Cazadores evenings will run from 8pm-12M and are free* events that will kick off with a screening of Robert Rodriguez's cult classic Once Upon a Time in Mexico, followed by a
set of modern Mexican-inspired beats by DJ One Drum. In addition to the selection of botanas (Mexican snacks) created by the award-winning Mexican cantina Green & Red, there will be Tequila-based cocktails courtesy of Cazadores: think palomas, margaritas and sangritas.
Guests will be invited to sample all three expressions of Cazadores, made from the sweet, juicy agave that grow in the Los Altos highlands of Mexico. As well as the youthful Cazadores Blanco,
there’s the oak-aged Cazadores Reposado and Cazadores Añejo (rested in American oak for a minimum of two and 12 months respectively).
For those bar flies who can’t make the dates above, here’s a selection of other nightspots currently serving Cazadores:
