Cabaret supperclub Volupté is back with a bang this November and bringing with it a boozy, burlesque version of the classic British afternoon tea.
‘Voluptéa’ will be served every weekend in the venue’s sultry basement setting. Expect heady concoctions such as Earl Grey with gin, poured Prohibition-style in a teapot, as well as finger
sandwiches, buttery scones with jam and cream and off-the-wall cakes and confectionery topped with avant-garde ingredients such as popping candy.
Volupté’s afternoon tea will be set against a backdrop of burlesque beauties including Ginger Blush, Miss Rose Thorne and the gorgeous Gateaux Vivants, who will be sporting nothing but well-placed
cakes to cover their modesty.
‘Voluptéa’ costs £42, including entry to the venue, a table for the afternoon, entertainment and the afternoon tea. The bar opens at 1.30pm, guests are seated from 2.30pm and the show starts at
3pm. To book tickets, call 020 7831 1622.
