Learn more about English wines at Battersea wine bar Artisan & Vine, which has joined forces with drinkbritain.com to offer a series of winemaker tasting dinners every month. Visiting
winemakers from vineyards across England will be on hand to talk diners through a range of their wines, carefully matched to a three-course dinner devised by chef James Robson. ‘English wines are
characterised by delicate flavours and it’s an exciting challenge for a chef to match that subtlety,’ said Robson. His menus may include dishes such as Welsh queen scallops with black cabbage and
blood orange or Tamworth pork loin with pink fir apple potatoes and Puglian olive tapenade. Winemakers who will be sharing their wisdom include Julian Barnes from Biddenden Vineyards in Kent (25
May), Sam Lindo from Camel Valley Vineyard in Cornwall (22 June) and Paul Langham from a’Beckett’s Vineyard in Wiltshire (20 July).
Tickets cost £29.95 for three courses and five wines, limited to 35 tickets per dinner. Book online.
