Eat Out and Fight Hunger

Eat out at one of your favourite restaurants this October & you could make a real difference to the world’s hungry. Restaurants Against Hunger is an international initiative that raises vital funds to help families living in the world’s poorest countries in their daily struggle to feed themselves. Whist the campaign is year-round, the focus of activity takes place in October with ‘Fight Hunger. Eat Out’ month, coinciding with World Food Day on 16 October. Organised by humanitarian charity, Action Against Hunger, the emphasis is on enjoyment not guilt – food lovers everywhere can help fight hunger by simply eating out. This year over 500 restaurants, cafes & gastropubs are anticipated to join the campaign with many donating part of their takings to the charity. Restaurants signed up to date include St John, Al Duca, Zaika, Ristorante Biagio & Le Comptoir Gascon with acclaimed gastropubs The Gun, The Empress of India, The White Swan, The Well & The Peasant also supporting the cause.
