This autumn, The Cookbook Café at the InterContinental Park Lane is hosting two south-American food festivals: the first focusing on Colombia and the second on Peru.
At the week-long culinary festivals, guests can watch interactive cookery demonstrations and attend seminars led by acclaimed chefs. Live acoustic music and traditional art and costumes will also
showcase the cultures of the two countries.
Colombia Gourmet Festival
From 23 September-3 October, The Cookbook Café will celebrate Colombian culture. Visiting chefs from the InterContinental Medellín in Colombia will create menus that explore and evoke the style and
flavours of the culinary traditions of the country.
Peru Gourmet Festival
From 17 October–23 October, Peruvian culture will be the focus at The Cookbook Café. The festival will evoke the authentic flavours and traditional music of the country, washed down with plenty of
pisco sours. The festival’s guest chef, Peruvian chef Virgilio Martinez, will give a talk about the history of Peruvian cooking, which blends elements of Spanish, Arab and African cuisines.
