British Food Fortnight

Celebrate our home cuisine with the British Food Festival that aims to get everyone involved including children in schools, various restaurants and even public procurement organisations. Restaurants, pubs, tourism attractions, hospitals, prisons, the NHS, the Ministry of Defence – they all will be featuring British food for this event. Even a network of 9,000 chefs is ready to help teach school kids how to cook and to educate them about British food beyond the Mars Bars their minds and hands may immediately jump to. They hope to leave the children with enough knowledge to participate in the ‘Cook for Life’ challenge sponsored by Kenwood for classrooms to win a set of cooking supplies to enrich their education. There will also be special menus and deals for the public to look forward to at restaurants around town as well as supermarkets and several independent stores. For more information, please click here.
