For a food-focused bank holiday weekend, head to Tewkesbury, in the Cotswolds, whose food and drink festival is now in its seventh year, and will welcome more than 80 local businesses to showcase
their produce this year.
Highlights of the day will include cookery demonstrations from chefs including Simon Rimmer, Brian Turner, Matthew Fort and Thomasina Miers, a taste tent including areas dedicated to chocolate,
chilli and wine, and live music throughout the day.
Kids activities include custard paddling, building a gingerbread village and making vegetable characters. A series of pop-up local restaurants will be cooking dishes for festival-goers to taste,
and there will also be an ale and cider bar offering samples.
