On Tuesday 26 March, Knightsbridge restaurant Baku and Beaujolais co-operative winery Oedoria will celebrate the launch of long-awaited French
appellation Coteaux Bourguignons with a special wine-tasting dinner.
Burgundy winemaker Frederic Billet will guide diners through his selection of the appellation’s distinctive wines, which he has matched to Baku’s gourmet menu.
After a canapé-and-fizz reception where guests will enjoy a glass of Crémant de Bourgogne with nibbles such as cherry-wood smoked-salmon cake, diners will sit down to a four-course feast of refined
French dishes matched with Billet’s highlights from the Coteaux Bourguignon appellations.
Baku’s menu is as follows:
pan-seared scallop with julienne of celeriac and white-truffle-infused beurre blanc
paired with Beaujolais Blanc
char-grilled Caspian sturgeon with pomegranate molasses and spring leaves
paired with Brouilly
Barbary duck breast with shiro miso marinade and baby asparagus
paired with Coteaux Bourguignons
raspberry ice with lychee and Fine S Rosé granita exotic fruit platter on ‘cold smoke’
paired with Fine S Rosé
The wine-tasting dinner costs £60, including all food and wine; a deposit of £20 is required to confirm your reservation. To book your place email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 020 7235 5399.
