Apple Menu at Quaglino’s

Craig James, head chef at Quaglino's in St James’s, will be marking the start of the apple season by presenting ‘The A-Z of Apples’, a daily changing menu featuring lesser known varieties of this much loved fruit. Available from 17 September to 14 October at lunch and dinner, customers can select from a menu of starters, main courses and desserts, sampling intriguing varieties from the Allington Pippin to the Apez Zagarra. By sourcing apples through the Brogdale Horticultural Trust in Kent, James would like to preserve our heritage of fruit and introduce to a wider public the many varieties that are rarely seen in our shops.

A selection of dishes planned for the menu is listed below:

Spiced parsnip and Bloody Butcher soup
Terrine of foie gras, Dekker’s Glory chutney
Baltic herrings, beetroot and Greensleeves salad
