On Wednesday 23 May, Barcelona Tapas Bar y Restaurante on St Botolph Street is hosting a wine-tasting dinner featuring wines from the Miguel Merino winery in Spain – and Square Meal readers can
get 40% off the ticket price.
Miguel Merino is a small-scale producer based in Rioja Alta. At the four-course dinner, guests will taste five wines, from the young, fruity 2008 Viñas Jóvenes to the ripe and spicy 2005 Reserva.
Dishes on the menu include regional Riojan classics, from chorizo with potatoes, to slow-roasted lamb shank in rich red-wine sauce, followed by a selection of cheeses from Los Cameros. Save room
for dessert – torrijas, the Spanish version of French toast, make a filling and moreish finish.
The wine-tasting dinner starts at 7pm and costs £95. Square Meal readers can get 40% off the ticket price (a discounted price of £57) by quoting SQM2305 when they book. To book, call
Barcelona Tapas Bar y Restaurante on 020 7377 5111 or email email@example.com.
