The events appeal of the Science Museum is obvious. Where else can you dine next to the Apollo 10 command module or mingle under the first plane to cross the Atlantic? Located in picturesque South Kensington, this venue is next level.
The venues spaces are cool and eye-catching. Daytime conferences are well catered for in the IMAX Theatre and the new Illuminate. For evening events, we like the Exploring Space gallery with its rockets, satellites and landers. Wonderlab: The Equinor Gallery is another recent addition, and look out for the new Medicine galleries opening this year.
Illuminate on the fourth and fifth floors of the museum is a ‘blank canvas’ available for daytime and evening hire with a capacity of 400 for conferences. It has panoramic view of the city and gets flooded with light, making it a great environment for a productive meeting. The multi-functional venue space is ideal for annual general meetings, awards ceremonies, and receptions. Illuminate is partnered with White Light, an AV company with decades of experience in installations and designing technical, and Moving Venue, a catering team who can deliver menus tailored to the event.
The Smith Centre, built over a century ago, has been well-kept to provide four distinct spaces ranging from intimate meeting rooms seating 20 people to a salon fit for 200 guests. The salon can be hired day and night and works well in combination with the open-plan courtyard. All the rooms are located on the ground floor and feature an integrated AV system and are available to hire day or evening.
The IMAX theatre at the museum has state of the art surround sound and projects available to hire day and evening for product launches and presentations. With 400 seats, it is ideal for large-scale conferences. The in-house technical team can support the event or work with your production team if needed.
