Located on Portman Mews South, in the heart of Marylebone, Roti Chai is a modern Indian restaurant, bringing a blank canvas space and authentic menus to your next event.
When planning your upcoming celebration, you'll find two distinct areas at Roti Chai – the Street Kitchen and Dining Room. With a space designed to be more moody and romantic, Roti Chai's Dining Room is fantastic for intimate parties, work get-togethers, and more formal events. If you’ve got a relaxed style event in mind, the Street Kitchen could be the right choice for you. Inspired by street hawkers, roadside cafes and railway stations, the Street Kitchen is modern, welcoming and simplistic in its design.
The restaurant's menu focuses on traditional methods and flavours from the Indian subcontinent, but you can expect to be pleasantly surprised by some Roti Chai flair incorporated into classic dishes. The kitchen offers set menus that feature their most popular dishes when you have a party of 10 or more guests in attendance. The menu is designed to flow, in a sociable way, with individual dishes accompanied by sharing side dishes.
To begin, your guests will get a real taste for Roti Chai with a selection of starter dishes. These include wheat crisp tacos with tandoori chicken and smoked chilli chutney, delicious crunchy semolina shells filled with potato, sweet yoghurt and tamarind chutney, and last but not least, the kerala panko fried cauliflower florets with a tangy beetroot sesame drizzle.
Each guest will choose one main dish from classics like tandoori butter chicken with a makhani gravy sauce, the Malai methi paneer in a creamy fenugreek sauce, or the koliwada fish kari. The desserts are simple yet delicious, with options of refreshing mango and raspberry sorbet, or the gulab jamun mini donuts toasted with almonds, sugar and rose syrup.
You're located just a hop, skip and a jump from both Bond Street and Marble Arch underground stations, so your guests will find it a breeze to get to you.
