About Morton Society

Tucked away in the heart of the city, this historic split-level venue can host intimate celebrations and has space for decadent entertaining too.

Brought to you by the team behind Banking Hall and Grace Hall, The Morton Society is an excellent place to hold meetings, receptions and conferences. It’s a short walk from Moorgate or Liverpool Street station and has stunning, original décor.

With a capacity to host 150 seated guests for dinner or up to 260 standing, The Morton Society promises impeccable service and strives to send your friends, family, delegates, clients or suppliers home feeling well-fed, watered and happy after an unforgettable evening.

Upstairs the Booze Lab is a space where guests can learn about the infusion process from Booze Engineers and taste some of their creations. It’s an ideal setting for pre-dinner drinks, conference breaks or to enjoy one of the private booze masterclasses.

Those looking to host a private dinner or larger reception party should enquire about the Walbrook Room which has a rich history dating back over a decade.

Executive Head Chef Ronnie Murray has curated a variety of dishes and menus that cater for all dietary preferences and showcase the best of Britain’s produce. Choose from canapes such as gin and tonic jellied oysters or crispy lamb belly and main meals like oyster mushroom stroganoff or agave-glazed spatchcock chicken. You can also request a bespoke menu for a truly unique touch to your celebration.

Not only can the Morton Society host your special occasion, they will help to plan it too. To ensure the process is as stress-free as possible, they allocate a dedicated events manger and team to support you every step of the way and ensure your event runs successfully. Enquire online and one of their dedicated events team will get back to you within four hours of receiving your message.

Patrick J Hobbs

Chief Booze Engineer

Behind the quirky title, Patrick J Hobbs is a thoughtful craftsman who cares a great deal about creating delicious drinks for his punters. He relishes the freedom to experiment within Camm & Hooper's 'booze lab' - a perk which enabled him to create a cocktail that ended up being reproduced around the globe. He works with all kinds of ingredients, the most unusual so far being venison, and is all about the perfect balance of flavours.
