Planning a party or group event in London? Ikkan Sushi is available for exclusive hire, accommodating up to 50 guests for a standing event or 35 for a seated banquet. The restaurant can host everything from anniversary and engagement parties to baby showers and bridal celebrations along with corporate functions, networking events, team-building days and drinks receptions.
One of the advantages of hiring the restaurant is the freedom to configure it around your plans. Keep tables in place for a celebratory lunch or dinner, create a more open arrangement for a drinks reception, or combine seating with space for guests to move around throughout the event. Natural light pours through a large picture window, complemented by wooden flooring, neutral finishes and comfortable booth seating. The venue is family friendly and also offers disabled access.
Catering can be approached just as flexibly. Rather than committing to a formal meal, hosts can opt for platters, sushi boxes and smaller Japanese dishes that guests can share as they socialise. Alternatively, groups can sit down to a broader selection from Ikkan Sushi’s menu.
There is plenty of sushi to choose from, including dragon rolls, sunshine rolls and veggie summer rolls, as well as nigiri, sashimi, maki, uramaki and futomaki. Gyoza come with fillings such as prawn, chicken and vegetable, while poke bowls, bao buns and katsu curries provide heartier alternatives. Plant-based guests are well catered for, with choices spanning edamame and miso soup to vegetable spring rolls, fried tofu and pumpkin katsu curry.
For reception-style events, assorted rolls, dumplings and sharing plates can be served for guests to enjoy throughout the party, while larger sushi platters make an eye-catching addition to buffet tables or group celebrations.
