Brickendon Grange Golf Club offers private hire for up to 200 guests in Hertfordshire, set within a luxury members' club with both indoor and outdoor space.
Brickendon stands out for not only its spanning grounds and greenery, but its historic clubhouse. With handsome red brick and an imposing turret, the building, now the clubhouse, was originally known as The Grange and built in 1859 as a private residence for local nobility. That architecture remains the backbone of the club's two event spaces today.
The largest venue option is The Grange Suite, which the team proudly built as part of a £1.3 million site-wide renovation. Contemporary and practical, it comes with its own bar, restrooms, projector, in-house PA, LED mood lighting, dance floor and a wraparound private terrace. Up to 132 people can be seated for lunch or dinner, or up to 200 if standing for canapes, cocktails or dancing the night away. The space works particularly well in spring and summer, when the spanning windows fill the room with light and show off the views.
For smaller gatherings, the Oak Room is ideal for intimate suppers or important meetings. Located in the old part of the clubhouse, it benefits from wooden panelled walls and original features dating back to the 1800s. There's one central table with capacity for 32 people, over which a sparkling chandelier hangs.
All catering is provided in house and the team have pre-prepared a selection of packages across canapes, buffet food and three-course meals to make things easier. For example, canapes might include Coronation chicken on croute, mini spring rolls and poached salmon rillettes, while buffet options include falafel bites, miniature pizzas and chocolate cake.
