3 mins preparation,

This is a twist on the Mojito, substituting vodka for rum. Delicious and dangerously moreish!

For amateur cocktail-makers, vodka is an ideal spirit to work with. By definition a neutral spirit – certainly in comparison to categories such as rum and whisky – it works well with myriad flavours.

Ingredients

50ml Beluga vodka
25ml lime juice
37.5ml sugar syrup*
Small handful of mint
Soda water

Method

1

Glass: Highball

2

Muddle the mint in the bottom of a shaker

3

Add all the other ingredients except the soda water, add ice and shake until it’s nice and cold

4

Strain into an ice-filled glass and top with the soda water

5

Garnish with a sprig of mint

6

*Making the sugar syrup

Take 1 part sugar and 1 part boiling water, stir until the sugar has dissolved.
