The Bloomsbury is a luxury hotel on Great Russell Street housed inside a beautifully restored 1930s neo-Georgian building. Boasting a wealth of luxury spaces, from a refurbished Georgian ballroom to its highly Instagrammable Dalloway Terrace and art-deco Coral Room, The Bloomsbury offers rooms large, small and equally stunning for your Christmas party.
For large festive events that pack plenty of wow-factor, the George V is a historic ballroom featuring Waterford Crystal chandeliers, high ceilings and colourful wallpaper depicting a striking lake scene inspired by George V’s travels. This special space can hold up to 250 for a standing event, or 180 for a banquet.
The Queen Mary Hall is another large, impressive space with original features, high ceilings and crystal chandeliers, as well as the option of a separate bar area if liked. Filled with natural light, this room can hold 200 people standing or 160 for a dinner. There are also plenty of smaller, but just as grand spaces, suitable for more intimate Christmas parties. Take a look at the Chapel and the Seamus Heaney Library, which both boast one large table for parties of 20-24 to gather around for a spectacular feast.
The Bloomsbury offers multiple Christmas menus to suit the style of your event. For more casual standing events, there are both the canape or bowl food menus, which allow for a more relaxed style of dining. If you’re looking to host a three-course dinner with friends, family or colleagues, you can do that, too. Starters feature the likes of a chicken and wild mushroom ballotine with toasted hazelnuts, brioche and apple chutney. For main course, you can opt for a classic roast turkey dinner, or try something different such as fillet of seabass with sweet potato hash, sautéed leeks, crayfish tails and beurre Blanc. End on an indulgent note with Buche de Noel, or a cherry and amaretto Christmas pudding with brandy custard.
