If you’re looking for a Soho Christmas party venue that’s fun, atmospheric, and focused on genuine good cooking, Temper Soho is your match. Set on Broadwick Street, and easily accessible from Tottenham Court Road and Piccadilly Circus stations, Temper Soho puts the focus on 100% British rare breed steaks, butchered in-house and cooked over live flames, complete with an inspired selection of taco dishes, sides, and desserts.
Inside, you’ll find a gorgeous dining room, softly lit and dressed in green and light wood tones. At the heart of the space sits a six metre fire pit kitchen, with counter seating so guests can observe the chefs at work, smoking, grilling and cooking up a festive feast. You’re more than welcome to hire out the restaurant on an exclusive hire basis, though groups of around 20 tend to book out the gorgeous, intimate private dining room. This space is shielded by a velvet curtain, but still benefits from the ambience of the main dining room.
As for festive dining at Temper, Christmas party groups can expect sharing-style feasting menus. At the time of writing, there are two available: the Feast Menu and the Fancy Feast Menu. Both kick off the festivities with a welcome Margarita cocktail, before heading on to a selection of tacos that come generously filled. Served to share, fillings might include the likes of burnt ends and beef fat mayo and pickled onion, or smoked pork shoulder with crunchy cabbage.
Main courses, meanwhile, may include smoked rare breed beef brisket, beef rump steak with heritage tomato salsa, or wood-roastes dish which comes with gochujang butter and a fennel and mint salad. All are served to share, along with sides like beef fat potatoes with garlic raclette, house salad, and flatbreads. Top it all off with a peanut and chocolate tart, with plenty of steak and taco-friendly wines throughout the festive meal, and you’re in for a proper treat in the heart of Soho.
