Red Dog Saloon is known for its easy-going vibes, hearty, American-inspired plates and spot-on locations across London, but most central of them all is the Soho site, making itself the perfect place to bring people together for a Christmas shindig this December.
The space is as you would expect: rustic, wood panelled and atmospherically lit, with all the hallmarks of a Texan BBQ spot. Exposed brick walls offer a backdrop to mounted taxidermy, deep red, leather banquettes run the length of the space and lighting is deliberately low for a cosy feel, befitting of winter get-togethers.
If you're planning on throwing a proper party, this is the place to do it, with a full takeover option for up to 55 people. The team are happy to work with you on reconfiguring the space, pre-ordering for your group, ensuring welcome drinks or a tab for the bar has been set up.
As for the menu, your gang are welcome to choose anything from the main a la carte, which is well worth a look if you haven't already. You might want to start with a mix of appetisers for the table, choosing from chicken ceaser bites dusted with garlic and parmesan, alongside fried squid with ranch, as well as mozzarella sticks drizzled with hot honey and nduja.
Burgers are a big deal here, so you'll want to get stuck in and try a selection of toppings. The PB and J, for example, brings together an aged USDA chuck steak with indulgent peanut butter, grape jelly, salty bacon, caramalised onions and Red Dog Saloon's signature sauce, while the Garlic Parm is a totally different take, with Nashville hot chicken thigh, parsley garlic butter, parmesan and baby gem. BBQ is a rite of passage here, so you'll also want to try the trays filled with pork belly burnt ends, long horn beef rib and hot links with a side of South Carolina mustard.
