Christmas on Broadway Market is legendary - the street lights up with twinkling bulbs, the local flower market transforms into a Christmas tree farm and the independent stores stay open for the festive season. In other words, it's the perfect place to host your festive get-together, whether that be with friends, family or colleagues.
Here, you'll also find Sune, an atmospheric eatery serving up European-inspired plates and welcoming Christmas party bookings. The restaurant is intimate and cosy, with bistro furniture, plastered walls and wine bottles out on display. It's cool, but definitely not trying too hard, the kind of space that works for any occasion.
You can book tables of up to 10 people, ideal for taking out your team. Or, if you're planning a whole company party or bigger celebration in general, you can take over the entire venue with a capacity for 70 people. The team are happy to discuss all and any options with you, so just drop them a message to talk through your needs and wants for your event.
To make things easier, the kitchen has devised a set menu to cater for groups, priced per person. While the Christmas menu isn't available yet, you can take a look at the sample group menu for general private dining to get a feel of what's to come. For example, the evening usually starts with smaller plates for the table such as charred flatbreads with whipped cod’s roe, yurrita anchovies and boquerones, or stracciatella with bitter leaves, fennel and blood orange, followed by wild garlic fritti.
For mains, there's usually a choice of larger plates such as Tamworth pork chops with apple mustard and grumolo, or whole BBQ plaice served al pil-pil. While, dessert might be something much-loved and classic like vanilla panna cotta paired with rhubarb and blood orange.
Drinks are an important part of any Christmas get-together and these guys will work out a drinks package to ensure your guests always have a glass in hand. This could include a welcome cocktail like a negroni, or a glass of sparkling, followed by half a bottle from Sune's own wine cellar.
