Two of London’s current obsessions – truffles and Prosecco – account for the title of this new micro-bar from sisters Irina and Lana Bondar. The chic Florentine-style rustic interior (truffle-toned, natch) suggests Notting Hill: is gritty Camden High Street yet ready for such a chichi bar? But even on a dank Tuesday evening, there are takers for bling Italian bubbles such as extra-dry Epsilon Luxxo (with floral and spicy notes) at £50. A flute of perfectly acceptable entry-level fizz costs £5.50, and alternatives include Prosecco cocktails and a carefully considered collection of Italian wines (try a glass of Scibà Zibibbo, a sweet Muscat worth savouring). As for the fancy fungus, truffle informs grappa; salami in a £14 meat platter that also contains fried gnocchi (with truffle sauce) and crostini (with truffle salsa); cheeses; burrata; risotto and pasta. There’s great coffee, too, served with super sfogliatine (filo ‘sea shells’ filled with lemon cream).
