Set amidst rolling Somerset countryside just outside of Bath, Wick Farm is a beautifully restored barn venue with bags of character and charm. Family-run by Chris and Jess McCullagh, the farm offers a warm, down-to-earth setting for couples who want a wedding day that’s as relaxed as it is memorable.
Wick Farm offers three ceremony locations, so you can choose a backdrop that reflects your style and the season. Say your vows in the Upper Barn, a rustic yet refined space with exposed beams and ample natural light. For those dreaming of an al fresco celebration, the manicured garden offers a romantic option with a fairy-lit archway for added magic. And if you're after something a little more intimate, the Rustic Haybarn provides a charming countryside vibe.
After the ceremony, guests can enjoy a relaxed drinks reception in the garden or beneath the marquee-covered terrace overlooking the duck pond. If the weather turns, the Lower Barn, which houses the fully stocked bar, is a cosy and convenient alternative. Your wedding breakfast takes place in the Upper Barn, with room for up to 132 guests for a seated meal. Choose between long rustic tables or classic round ones, with optional extras like a light canopy to set the mood. Then, while your band or DJ sets up, guests can retreat to the Lower Barn for coffee and conversation before dancing the night away - the venue can host up to 200 evening guests.
Venue hire includes exclusive access from 10:00 to 00:30, the use of both barns, the garden and terrace, tables, chairs, a speaker system, and decorative touches like candelabras and tealight holders. For those special moments away from the crowd, couples can book the newly renovated one-bedroom bridal cottage, complete with marble bathroom, kitchen and wood-burner: a cosy and romantic retreat for your first night as newlyweds. With its thoughtful details, flexible spaces and warm, family-led service, Wick Farm is the perfect place to begin your forever.
