Perched at the highest point of Richmond Park, London's largest Royal Park, Pembroke Lodge holds the distinction of being the only wedding venue located within a London Royal Park. This Grade II listed Georgian mansion, its portico framed by wisteria, carries protected heritage status and offers couples a peaceful retreat that feels far removed from the city despite its proximity to it, not least thanks to the roughly 650 deer that roam the surrounding parkland.
Inside, high Georgian ceilings and a calm, neutral palette set the tone. The venue offers two distinct spaces for hire. The Belvedere seats up to 140 guests for ceremony and reception, with capacity for a further 60 to join later celebrations, and its full-height windows open onto The Belvedere Terrace, where west-facing views stretch across the Thames Valley. The terrace itself is licensed for ceremonies, held beneath an oak pergola. The Russell Suite, also licensed for weddings, holds up to 70 guests during the day or 100 in the evening, and features Georgian bay windows, high ceilings and marble fireplaces. Its private outdoor space, the Woodland Garden, offers an alternative ceremony setting beneath a purpose-built oak gazebo.
The wider grounds add further character, including King Henry's Mound, home to a protected view of St Paul's Cathedral that is safeguarded by law, and gardens that provide photo opportunities throughout the year.
