Leonardslee House, nestled within the enchanting Leonardslee Lakes & Gardens in West Sussex, offers an unforgettable backdrop for weddings. Set in 240 acres of Grade I listed gardens and ancient woodland, the estate blends timeless heritage with romantic beauty, creating a setting that feels both grand and deeply personal. Following one of the largest garden restoration projects in England, Leonardslee has reclaimed its place as a jewel of the countryside - perfect for couples seeking a truly memorable venue.
Couples benefit from exclusive use of Leonardslee House on their wedding day, offering not just a beautiful backdrop to celebrations, but a convenient location just a stone’s throw from London, Gatwick Airport and the charming town of Horsham. Within the house are 10 boutique ensuite bedrooms, so that up to 20 of your nearest and dearest can stay the night. What's more, each one is uniquely styled by a different British designer, boasting charming, characterful decor in keeping with the magic of the day itself.
The jewel in Leonardslee House's crown is the surrounding 240-acre woodland gardens - a photographer's dream with its pretty spring gardens and scenic spots throughout the valley, lakes and vineyard. From early evening, the grounds become your very own private space to explore, as you and your guests wander around this breathtaking landscape.
Do note that Leonardslee House accommodates weekend weddings only, with packages created for Friday to Sundays celebrations. This includes everything from a Michelin-starred meal on Friday night at restaurant Interlude, to a farewell breakfast on Sunday morning. The venue can host 70 seated guests during the day, with the option to invite additional evening guests (up to 100 total).
While the weekend wedding package has been carefully designed to include everything you need to make your day unforgettable, the team are more than happy to discuss bespoke elements if you have something particular in mind.
