The childhood home of Anne Boleyn, and stunning location in Kent is available to hire for weddings that won’t end in decapitation. With three different venue spaces to choose from, Hever Castle is the ideal spot for an intimate wedding at any time of year.

For when you plan on having your special day in the height of summer, the Italian gardens not only had beautiful well-kept greenery surrounding it, but your ceremony will take place in the lakeside ‘Loggia’ overlooking the crystal lake and surrounding forest. Move into the Guthrie Pavilion for the wedding breakfast and evening reception. For the drinks reception, guests can admire the impressive stone piazza and Hever Castles own version of the Trevi fountain. Ideal if you want slightly different wedding pictures.

If you prefer to look at the stunning castle from a far, the Astor Wing is a stunning Tudor Style house commissioned by William Waldorf Astor in 1903. For more intimate weddings the Astor Wing is worth considering. Accommodating 60 guests for an intimate ceremony and wedding breakfast, the oak panelled Tudor Style venue overlooking the vast castle grounds is sure to impress. If you need bedrooms for your guests, 18 five star bedrooms are available with additional if needed.

For a wedding with the wow factor, you can hire the castle for your ceremony and wedding breakfast before spending the evening in The Moat restaurant which fits up to 120 guests. You will have the options to have your photos taken at all the different venues throughout the castle grounds and while guest are being escorted from the castle to The Moat, they can take in the breath-taking surroundings Hever Castle has on offer.

Packages include a three course wedding breakfast, drinks and a dedicated event manager to make sure everything runs smoothly on your big day.

Extensively refurbished in Palladian style, The Guthrie Pavilion offers vaulted ceilings and floor to ceiling arched windows. This provides a light and airy atmosphere from day into night without losing the romantic backdrop.

The Tudor Suite Dining Room, shrouded with oak panelling and boasting a magnificent fire place, can accommodate up to 60 guests for a wedding breakfast.

The oak panelled Tudor Suite Sitting Room, overlooking the Castle and formal lawns, provides the perfect setting for an intimate ceremony.

Castle Inner Hall

The Inner Hall, with ornate panelling and richly carved columns made of Italian walnut, can accommodate up to a maximum of 60 guests for a castle wedding ceremony.

The Dining Hall boasts an elaborately carved Minstrels Gallery resting on a series of carved musicians and an impressive stone fireplace surmounted by the Bullen coat of arms.

The stunning bedrooms at Hever Castle, recently refurbished and fit for a King, have been graded five stars by Quality in Tourism. Expect period colours, panelled walls, vaulted ceilings. Several rooms boast four posted beds and roll top baths. All offer luxury, antique furnishings and rich fabrics.

Afternoon wedding ceremonies take place under the beautiful arched columns of the Italian Loggia overlooking the 38 acre lake. This magical lakeside location can also include your drinks reception where guests can take in the views from the stone piazza, complete with our very own Trevi fountain.

The Winter Garden Lawn

The beautiful gardens at Hever Castle were laid out between 1904 and 1908 turning what was then marshland into the spectacular Gardens you see today. The Winter Garden Lawn is a private lawn located moat side and allows for a marquee of up to 250 guests.

Always dreamt of a country wedding? The Astor Wing is a charming Edwardian wing of Hever Castle, designed in Tudor style, commissioned by William Waldorf Astor in 1903. Craftsman used original Tudor tools in order to retain the authenticity of the Tudor era. The result is a series of beautiful Tudor style buildings joined to Hever Castle, offering magnificent oak panelling, ornate fireplaces, antique furnishings and an eclectic art collection. Today, the Astor Wing offers an ‘Exclusive Use’ venue in one of the most historic and beautiful settings in England.

We just wanted to say a heartfelt thank you for what was just the most unbelievable day. We were really at ease, you made the experience stress free and we’re incredibly grateful for that. The coordination from staff was absolutely fantastic, again, very reassuring, on the ball and made sure the day ran smoothly. Catering was to die for, not a single complaint in the house and sounds like a fine and perfect new acquisition. Bar staff, coordinators, suppliers, literally it all fell into place and we couldn’t have asked for the day to have gone any better, it exceeded expectations and I only wish I could do it all again!
