Available from April to October, the venue makes the most of the warmer months, when the countryside is at its most beautiful - think fields of emerald green and wildflower meadows. The site sits within the Hertfordshire Green Belt, yet remains easily accessible from London and surrounding counties. Guests arrive to wide open skies, leafy trees and the gentle calm of rural surroundings, setting the tone for a nature-filled celebration.
Ceremonies often begin in The Glade, a secluded woodland clearing tucked beneath the trees. Reached by walking through rustic wooden arches and down stone steps, it feels like stepping into a secret garden. Seating up to 90 guests, the glade offers a naturally beautiful setting for civil or humanist ceremonies, with space for acoustic musicians and subtle personal touches like decorations. Couples can add their own personal touch to the area or leave it exactly as nature intended. If the weather has other ideas, don't worry - the nearby main house provides an elegant indoor alternative.
Afterwards, celebrations move to The Meadow, a wide, tree-framed field where the venue’s tipis create a relaxed reception space. Rustic wooden tables and chairs sit beneath fairy lights, while festoon lighting, hay bales and fire pits add to the easygoing countryside feel. Guests can mingle with drinks and canapés, wander across the grass, or simply soak up the scenery while the festivities unfold around them.
The venue can host between 50 and 250 guests and includes exclusive use of the gardens, reliable off-grid power, permanent indoor facilities and a dedicated team who help coordinate the day from start to finish - in other words, these guys have done this before! When it comes to food, dishes are prepared on site using ingredients sourced from local suppliers, with varied menus including (one of the most popular) barbecues or mezze-style feasts served family-style.
