Set in the Staffordshire countryside near Lichfield, Coton House Farm is a family-owned venue combining historic barns, open fields and a relaxed country atmosphere, with exclusive use giving couples the freedom to make the whole place feel entirely their own.
The site has deep local roots, appearing on maps dating back to the 16th century, when the farm served as a stopping point for farmers travelling to market in Lichfield. Today, after more than 20 years of hosting weddings and a recent extensive renovation, it showcases two beautifully restored barns: the 18th-century Old Dairy Barn and the larger Oak Barn.
The Oak Barn is the main celebration space, seating up to 120 guests at round tables beneath whimsical, exposed oak beams and foliage-dressed light fittings. French doors bring in plenty of natural light and look towards the terrace and surrounding fields, while the adjacent Pig Sty provides a fully licensed private bar opening onto its own courtyard. Couples can also choose an outdoor ceremony at the pergola, make use of the Oak Terrace and Patio, or gather in the Stable Courtyard and BBQ area.
The wedding experience begins early, with venue hire from 9am. Two preparation suites, Rolo and Maverick, are available on site, and a pre-ceremony brunch for up to 10 guests can include pastries, fresh fruit, tea, coffee, juice and optional prosecco. Couples can choose between indoor and outdoor ceremonies, with furniture included and a choice of round or long rustic tables.
There are a few wedding packages to choose from, some include an inclusive drinks package for up to 50 guests with two welcome drinks each, prosecco for the toast and half a bottle of wine per person at the table. Catering is flexible too, with a choice of caterer and catering packages available. And, as for sleeping arrangements, four converted stable rooms are included for the couple and selected guests, each sleeping up to two adults and two children, followed by breakfast the next morning.
