Set among the rolling greenery of Surrey, Chobham Golf Club offers a wedding setting that feels calm, considered and ever-so picturesque. Located just outside Woking, it combines easy access with a sense of countryside seclusion, where manicured fairways and open skies create a natural backdrop for the day.
The Clubhouse forms the heart of celebrations, with the Montgomerie Suite providing a light-filled, elevated space for the main event. Positioned on the first floor, it benefits from large windows and a private balcony overlooking the golf course - your photographer will be thanking you, it's ideal for photographs. Or, even just take a moment to step away and breathe it all in. The suite is exclusively yours, complete with its own private bar, air conditioning, cloakrooms and lift access, allowing the day to flow comfortably from ceremony through to evening reception.
With capacity for up to 135 guests for the wedding breakfast and 200 for the evening, the space works just as well for larger celebrations as it does for more intimate gatherings. Outside, a generous patio sets the scene for arrival drinks and canapés, while a purpose-built wedding garden offers a dedicated space for those all-important photos.
As with any celebrations, food is at the heart of the wedding packages. For a more formal sit-down meal, dishes might include smoked duck breast with orange and blackberries to start, followed by roasted loin of lamb or baked North Atlantic cod with seasonal vegetables. Desserts such as forest berry pavlova add a lighter finish.
For something more relaxed, there are alternative dining options that lend themselves to a sociable atmosphere. Fork buffets bring a sense of abundance, with hand-carved honey roast gammon and roast sirloin of beef served alongside classics like potato salad with chive mayonnaise and Waldorf salad. Finger buffets keep things informal and easy, featuring Cajun spiced chicken fillets, salmon, prawn and dill tartlets, mini pork sausages with honey and sesame glaze, and tomato, mozzarella and pesto bruschetta, with seasoned potato wedges for good measure.
