About

This well-known City restaurant, next to the Bank of England, has a loyal following for its food, but it is also a fine venue for a wedding reception for anything from 60 to 200 people seated with plenty of space for a dance floor too. The venue can also accommodate standing wedding receptions for up to 400 guests for those struggling to refine their guest list!

Whilst the venue itself does not have a licence there is no shortage of churches and registry offices in the vicinity and thanks to its enviable location, and at the weekends the Square Mile will virtually be your playground without the customary hustle and bustle of city workers.

For an intimate drinks reception with canapes, you and 20-90 of your dearest can begin in the privacy of the 1776 private dining room or simply sneak away with your spouse for a moment alone and some wedding photos. If your guest list is due to be more substantial, you can move to The Brasserie for a celebratory meal under 1 Lombard Street's high ceilings and famous dome, the Piestro Agostini cupola. As you would expect, the food is a big draw – the three set menus are well thought out and offer excellent value, showcasing the Modern European style of food for which the restaurant has become renowned.

Helmed by James Holden, the kitchens at 1 Lombard Street champion sustainable British produce and seasonal ingredients. Working in partnership with Goose Box catering, the food and events team at 1 Lombard Street will craft a wedding feast that fits your vision for the special day.

A late night licence is available, which will be welcome news for the night owls who will no doubt congregate in the bar post-reception before partying the night away on the dance floor.

Cancellation Policy

For Private Dining Rooms: Guests are allowed to postpone their up to 14 days before their event as long as it takes place two months after the original event date. In the case of a cancellation less than 14 days before the event, the venue will retain the full deposit. For Full Venue Hire's: If guests cancel with less than 30 days to the event then the venue will retain the full deposit. We ask that all Full Venue Hire's pay the full pre-order amount at least 14 days ahead of their event. If the guests cancel with less than 14 days to the event then the venue will retain the full amount.

Catering

Packages for a three course meal start at just £80per person! Canape packages start at just £45per person!

AV Equipment

All private dining rooms contain a fully functional flat screen TV, with working audio that guests are welcome to connect to via HDMI. The venue will provide an HDMI cable. All private dining rooms have a fully functional speaker system that guests are welcome to play their own music on via a public playlist, on either Spotify or Apple Music. The Brasserie comes equipped with it's own DJ booth and set of two microphones. Any additional AV equipment (microphones, or additional screens) the venue is happy to source through an external supplier but at an additional cost, dependent on the equipment being hired.

Emma and I had the most amazing time on Saturday. The whole team, but especially you Edin, made the day run perfectly. The food was amazing as were your team. You will have realised during the prep, I am the one who sweats the details, but I didn’t have to think of anything but enjoying the day. You did a fabulous job. Also the venue itself was even better than we had thought it would be - it had the wow factor for all our guests.

Every single guest that we have spoken to since the wedding have had nothing but positive praise about 1 Lombard; the venue, the staff, the food (personally, every single canape I tried was absolutely delicious and they went down a treat with the guests!), the drinks (specifically the chocolate negroni!), everything! Most importantly, Rose and I had the most incredible day at 1 Lombard. Rose and I wanted to say the biggest thank you to the entire team that worked our wedding, and moreover, to yourself Edin for making sure the day ran without a single hitch - we will be forever grateful.
